Meranti Green Steel offers a new approach to decarbonizing iron and steel supply chains. We work across a portfolio of selected projects which combine all conditions to be commercially and environmentally successful.
We operate with an agile business model designed to decarbonize in tandem with evolving energy markets, carbon regulations and customer demand, ensuring long-term commercial resilience. With no legacy constraints, we leverage the latest industrial and digital technologies to stay at the forefront of the transition.
By developing a decoupled production model, we can locate each stage of the iron and steel value chain where conditions are most competitive. Green HBI production in Oman takes advantage of access to competitive natural gas, renewable energy and green hydrogen, while downstream steelmaking in Thailand is positioned close to key customers and growing end markets.
Our model is built on partnerships designed to reduce emissions across the value chain, secure access to competitive clean energy and support long-term cost competitiveness. This combination allows us to enable high-quality, lower-emission iron and steel production while supporting the wider transition toward a decarbonized industrial economy.
