At Meranti Green Steel, we are committed to building a truly sustainable steel future. Our vision is to create a world where development and nature can coexist in balance.  Our business model is built on a robust and resilient supply chain to source green HBI from our own facility in Oman.

We have completed the preliminary front-end engineering for our facility, located in Rayong province, utilizing the latest technology from Danieli.  Initially, the overall carbon footprint will be 70% less compared to conventional steelmaking, and later this will be further reduced to 90%. We have made good progress in securing 100% renewable energy for our manufacturing facility.

With our investment in green steelmaking powered by renewable energy, we aim not only to reduce carbon emissions but also to support Thailand’s climate goals while promoting industrial competitiveness and innovation. We believe this project will also serve as a unique opportunity for Thailand’s preparedness toward CBAM.
